|Change means growth, and growth is good|

The exhibit industry in the 2000s was rocked by change: changed perceptions, changed decision making, changed rules, changed buying power. By now, the expectation of change is part of our industry’s DNA, or at least it should be.
But most of us don’t readily embrace change because it moves us out of our comfort zones, and makes us confront the unfamiliar. Group Delphi’s exhibit at EXHIBITOR2012 was all about change.
A merger with General Graphics Exhibits (GGE) in late 2011 precipitated a change for the company, and as integration proceeded, growth opportunities appeared. The company’s direct experience with change and growth gave life to this exhibit and to the message Group Delphi wanted to send to Exhibitor attendees: Change is growth and it doesn’t have to be stressful.
The focal point for the exhibit was a stylized tree, which became a perfect surface for projected images. The tree had roots in the hardwood floor and its branches spread out across the rear of the exhibit, framing a service area, where infused water drinks were prepared.
“Change is growth” images grew on the central media totem. Meanwhile, a bar with LED interior lighting was a welcome oasis for attendees to relax, enjoy refreshing spa water, and realize that change and growth didn’t have to be difficult.
A canopy provided identity opportunities as well as definition of the space, and like the slightly raised hardwood floor, the ceiling element evoked the type of exhibit popular in Europe.
