Tension fabrics are stretching exhibit design barriers PDF Print E-mail

While printing techniques are advancing, so are lighting techniques designed to enhance the experience tradeshow visitors.
Traditional modular-style tradeshow exhibits are being eclipsed by newer designs relying upon the flexibility of tension fabrics and causing a revolution in the exhibits industry in the process.

Traditional building structures typically rely upon compression loading to remain erect, but structures made of fabrics rely upon the tension created from the pulling apart of fibers in the fabrics. Because tension fabrics are light, reusable and relatively easy to print upon, they have become an increasingly important part of today’s exhibits and tradeshows.

classic-double-deckCan you describe a recent double deck extrusion-based exhibit that you designed for a client?
Our most recent project was a 20-by-20 double deck rental for our New Orleans distributor, Synergy, whose client, Louisiana Seafood, was exhibiting at NRA at McCormick Place in Chicago. The double deck was used in conjunction with other exhibit components in a 20-by-50 booth. The lower portion of the deck was used for cooking and storage, and the upper level was used as a lounge area. The double deck and wall structures were constructed with ClassicMODUL aluminum extrusion components. The custom counter was constructed with Classic Exhibits Euro LT laminated panels. The exhibit also included laminated infill panels and direct to Sintra graphic panels.

Highmark TechSystemsCan you describe a recent double deck extrusion-based exhibit that you designed for a client?
An ExpoDeck multi-story double deck system was recently used by Tradetec Skyline for their client Suzlon in a 50-by-70 foot booth space at Wind Power 2012. The project was a custom rental and also employed the Highmark MAX multi-wall aluminum extrusion wall panel system for upper and lower conference/storage rooms. The ExpoDeck consisted of portal columns, t-slot columns, ExpoDeck beams, Quicdecx decking, two straight-line staircases with FlexRail hand/guard rail systems and an upper FlexRail guard rail system.
