Blue Telescope, an interactive exhibit agency, has been awarded with five Communicator Awards, including two Awards of Excellence, by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. The Blue Telescope projects were recognized from more than 6,000 entries in this year’s competition, which celebrates the creative excellence of communications professionals. 
Interactive HARMONY at EXHIBITOR2011
Blue Telescope received an Award of Distinction for bringing a new spin to the “wheel of fortune” concept with the Full Circle Challenge. ADA 2011 attendees learned about the full range of Sanofi’s patient support programs by taking on a series of quiz questions. Recognized with an Award of Distinction within the category “Interactive Multimedia: Education,” the navigating difference interactive kiosks were developed for the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience. Short videos and shared survey questions encourage global conversation on the topic of immigration between visitors at museum sites in Italy, Belgium and New York City. The recipient of an Award of Distinction within the category “Interactive Multimedia: Cultural Institutions” is Hero, Villain, Yeti, a microsite developed to supplement the Rubin Museum of Art’s physical installation of the same name. The interactive presents a series of activities ranging from caption contests to an activity surrounding iconography in Himalayan art to a personality test. Founded by communication professionals more than a decade ago, the Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio.
