Houston’s Business Marketing Association honors DisplayWorks

DisplayWorks LLC, an exhibit, training and marketing communications company, has received two Lantern Awards and one Award of Excellence from the Houston chapter of the Business Marketing Association. All three honors were presented at the annual Lantern Awards gala held at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Houston on Nov. 29. The competition was created more than 20 years ago in order to recognize and award high levels of quality and creativity in the area of B2B marketing.

The SkinMedica booth was created by DisplayWorks for the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting.

DisplayWorks competed in the categories of “Tradeshow Marketing Campaign” and “Tradeshow Exhibit over 500 square feet,” and the winning projects were as follows.

The campaign strategy that led to winning the tradeshow marketing campaign was to blanket the town and show with SkinMedica at AAD 2012. DisplayWorks’ integrated event and marketing division Brand B Marketing worked on a campaign to greet visitors at the airport, on shuttle busses and to be seen on taxis all over downtown to maximize visibility. They also built a 20′ x 40′ custom exhibit with a high-end retail look, created interactive touchscreens and iPad apps to capture leads and produced an elegant event for VIPs with a branded photo activity to provide a lasting memento.

In order to introduce Vizio to the personal computer market and to win the award for tradeshow exhibit over 500 square feet, DisplayWorks designed, built and delivered a one-of-a-kind 88’x105’ exhibit that had a permanent retail store feel as opposed to a temporary pop-up at CES 2012. It included a technology-connected eco-system styled like a high-end loft, a store featuring Vizio’s new line of personal computers and a large 3D Lounge.

At Orlando’s Covering show, DisplayWorks built a 30’x40’ custom exhibit using Vitromex’s line of ceramic and porcelain tile. Show attendees could not only see and feel the individual tile but also envision its durability and what it will look like when in use. The display won the Award of Excellence.

“DisplayWorks is honored to be recognized by the Houston Business Marketing Association,” said Herb Hite, CEO, DisplayWorks LLC. “We’re excited for our clients who we share these awards with. While each project is unique, they all represent how the DisplayWorks team and our full-range of services combine to give our clients the creative and strategic solutions they need to meet their event marketing objectives.”
