The Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center at a glance

Donald E. Stephens Convention CenterThe village of Rosemont was incorporated in 1956 and only includes 4,000 residents in its 2.5 square mile radius. The town, which has its own elementary and high schools, is considered only 25 percent residential.

The Donald E. Stephens Convention and Conference Center, named after the former mayor of Rosemont, Donald E. Stephens, is also home to Allstate Arena and the Rosemont Theatre for Meetings. The Stephens Center is located right between the city of Chicago and the O’Hare International Airport.

Despite being the focal point of such a small town, the Convention Center has been updated to the newest technologies, including 14 large LCD screens at high-traffic areas throughout the facility.

“Just when the industry has been at its lowest, in terms of sheer activity, the Stephens Center has maintained its position as one of the premier convention and exhibit facilities in the U.S.A.,” said current Mayor Bradley Stephens. “Our staff at the center excels at innovation and progress.”

The Convention Center hosts an average of 50,000 visitors each day. The staff is able to cater to large cocktail parties up to 8,000 people as well as smaller, more intimate banquets. The Convention Center building covers an area of 840,000 square feet and hosts six separate exhibit halls.
