15th Asia Pharma Expo 2024 – Bangladesh An Important Part Of Producing Affordable Quality Medicine

The 15th Asia Pharma Expo & Asia Lab Expo 2024 – Bangladesh Exhibition was held from February 29 to March 2, 2024 at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The expo was organized by GPE Expo Pvt Ltd – India and co-organized by Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (BAPI).
Sharing information on the latest technologies in pharma manufacturing, the 2024 expo was attended by more than 14,000 to explore the complete spectrum of the latest pharma manufacturing technologies and services. Bangladesh has undoubtedly emerged as one of the fastest growing pharma-economies in the global market, with growth furthered by a 17-year extension till the year 2033 by WTO/TRIPs to continue the manufacturing of patented pharmaceuticals.
To produce affordable quality medicines for all is core to Bangladesh. “If the cost of medicines can be made affordable, we can do good for common patients” says the expo’s Chief Guest, Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Bangladesh’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare.
Bangladeshi pharmaceutical companies have expanded their market reach significantly, contributing substantially to the country’s export earnings. The industry’s success in exporting pharmaceuticals to diverse countries, including developed nations, underscores its competitiveness on the global stage.
More than 751 exhibiting companies from 36 countries, including Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, UK, USA, Vietnam and many more showcased various products, including technology, parts and machines and raw materials and their latest products and services that could upgrade Bangladesh’s pharma manufacturing to even higher standards.
Overall, the 15th ASIA PHARMA EXPO 2024 & ASIA LAB EXPO 2024 was a highly impressive and important gathering of pharmaceutical leaders, professionals, and innovators.
