Opening on Oct. 2 is Natour Alps, a travel tradeshow highlighting the outdoor active lifestyle on holiday in natural environments.
For the eighth edition of the show, 23 representatives from tourist agencies and tour operators from 14 European countries were invited. Over the next two days, they will meet with 22 key Slovenian Sports tourism providers and providers of programs for active holidays in a natural environment, explore the beautiful Brda region on familiarization (fam) trips and discover the local culture and culinary offerings.
Ariana B. Suhadolnik, director of ZTKMŠ Brda and the local host, welcomed participants in Goriska Brda, Slovenia, one of the most picturesque landscapes in the world.
“In the mixture of cultures, we write the story of tourism of new dimensions –Tourism [that] blurs the boundaries. Natour Alps 2014 is also a part of this mission. I am glad that you are part of this story as well. I wish you successful work in drawing up new tourism experiences, especially experiences you’ll want to repeat!” she said.
Destinations, hoteliers and sport agencies from Slovenia will try to sell their offer to agencies from abroad with hope that foreign agencies and tour operators will include their packages in their offer. Each hosted buyer will thus have a chance to meet up with up to 15 providers of their choice during the show and network with the rest at the networking dinner titled “Culinary hiking on the Emerald Trail.”
“We hope that wine tasting, traditional culinary delights and short excursions through the region will give you positive emotions and satisfy your expectations,” added Marko Lenarcic, director, Hiking&Biking Slovenia, and organizer, Natour Alps.
New programs and trends in outdoor tourism will also be presented at Natour Conference where eight speakers will share their knowledge and present their work.
The last day of Natour will be dedicated to fam trips. After presentations at the tradeshow, buyers will personally experience the region and the outdoor programs in the Kart region and Italian and Slovenian Brda.
