2015 Korea International Boat Show tops inaugural show

Korea International Boat Show (KIBS), a marine leisure tradeshow in Korea, will be held at Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) from May 28-31.

Boat showHosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Gyeonggi Province and organized by Korea Trade-Investment Agency (KOTRA) and KINTEX, KIBS 2015 will be held with the following concurrent events: 2015 Asia Marine Conference, Technical Tours & Marina Site-inspection, and Business Trade matchmaking Round Table

With confirmed space bookings from both the leading and newly established South Korean marine companies, KIBS 2015 will be the biggest event since its inception in 2008 with over 27,000 square meters of committed indoor exhibition space and 25,000 square meters on-water display.

Headed by global industry leaders, including Intellian Technologies and Hyundai SeasAll, many emerging electronic and equipment manufacturers will also be exhibiting their latest product lines.

Featured exhibitors include Chilsung Shipyard, a shipbuilding company founded in Wonsan, North Korea in the 1940s. Well-known for building classic wooden boats with skills handed down from generation to generation, Chilsung Shipyard will be displaying state-of-the-art composite canoes and kayaks at the show. It will also be showcasing inflatable boats, a reemerging shipbuilding industry in Korea, with Elk Marine, Carina Dongyeon Boat and Woosung I.B.
