Golf Outing at Itasca Country Club to Benefit Trade Show Families in Need

The EDPA Midwest Chapter invites members, their families, and industry friends to join them for the 21st Annual Chicago Randy Charity Golf Outing. The event supports the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic (RSMGC), which aids tradeshow industry families in need.
The outing will be held on Monday, July 29, at the Itasca Country Club, located at 400 E. Orchard St., Itasca, Illinois. The day will kick off with a 12 p.m. shotgun start, followed by a dinner reception. Participants can register for the event here.
Smith, the namesake of the event, was a well-loved member of the trade show community known for his generosity and spirit. Proceeds from the outing will benefit the RSMGC, providing financial and emotional support to families who have suffered severe tragedies or face significant challenges.
Nancy Virene, actively involved in organizing the event, clarified that this outing is distinct from the 30th Annual “Big Randy” event in Atlanta. “We are connected but separate events, if that makes sense. This year is the ‘Big Randy’s’—as we call them—30th!” she said.
For those interested in donating raffle prizes for the “Chicago Randy,” please contact Virene or Jackie Hake. Participants are encouraged to register early to support this worthy cause and enjoy a day of golf and camaraderie.
