7th Conventa in Slovenia bringing stronger engagement

The 7th Conventa, a European tradeshow for meetings, events and incentives, highlights multiple “Es”: Emerging destinations, Experience, Engagement, Education, Emotions, Energy and Entertainment.

Considered one of the most anticipated meeting industry gatherings in 2015, Conventa will again bring together professionals in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from Jan. 21-22, 2015.

Over the last six years, Conventa has hosted 753 exhibitors from 13 countries, 1,436 hosted buyers from 40 countries and recorded 17.240 One2One meetings between exhibitors and hosted buyers. The last show was particularly successful and broke several new records, which set the expectations for 2015 that much higher. The extra pressure gave the organizers even more energy and the desire to deliver the promise of another successful show. Less than three months before the start of Conventa, the hard work put into organization can already been seen.

So far more than 70 percent of the exhibition floor has already been reserved, this time around also by emerging destinations of New Europe. Although the geographical territory for exhibitors has been expanded and the show is growing, the organizers are still maintaining a personal touch and compared to other shows also a boutique tradeshow experience.

“Conventa is well-organized. It is a small exhibition with very personal contacts thanks to the size.  You get in touch with almost all suppliers and a lot of other Hosted Buyers, which are excellent networking opportunities,” said Geraldine Huybrechts, managing partner, Borealis Belgium, and hosted buyer at Conventa 2014.

Great interest for the seventh Conventa has also been shown by meeting planners from big agencies, associations and corporations from all around the world. By January organizers expect to confirm 250 hosted buyers; 150 international and 100 regional. They will be able to thoroughly explore the host city of Ljubljana and its meetings offer.

Ljubljana Tourism / Convention Bureau is preparing a special pre-Conventa familiarization (fam) program, to which a second date, after the show, has been added.  This will be a great option for meeting planners who can schedule more easily a prolonged educational stay following Conventa. Next to the host city, buyers will also be able to attend fam trips to Bled, Portorož, Kranjska Gora and Zagreb.

The upcoming edition also promises a great educational program. During all Conventa days, participants will be able to enjoy quick presentations, workshops, forums and different lectures of all difficulty levels. Conventa Academy, Conventa morning energy sessions, Conventa Expert’s corner and IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum will be stimulating the minds of the meeting industry players. The guest star of Conventa will be Kevin Kelly, an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker and authority on the success principles underpinning entrepreneurship, leadership, sales and motivation for which he has developed the cutting-edge methodology of Xceptional Execution.

Some novelties have also been added to an already extensive program. Brand new incentive valley where providers of interesting incentive programs will have their own exhibition space and the opening of One2One system for meetings providers presented in meetings services spot will be enriching the Conventa experience. Organizers haven’t revealed all that the upcoming edition of Conventa will bring to the table.
