Post-show research for European, Incentives, Business Travel and Meetings (EIBTM) showed that 98 percent of exhibitors overall agreed that the upcoming event is vital to their business. EIBTM 2014 takes place Nov. 18-20, with the EIBTM Forum on Nov. 17.
The analysis also confirmed that as a result of EIBTM 2013, the estimated average order value for exhibitors was €417,580. In addition, a further €388,693 of business is expected to be confirmed as a result of the show.
Research indicated 67 percent of all Hosted Buyers’ budgets ranged from $1 to $10 million, with representatives attending from many of the world’s major global brands and associations including: American Express, Apple Inc., BMW, Deloitte, HelmsBriscoe, Kuoni Group, Procter & Gamble, Thomas Cook, Congrex, European Society of Cardiology, International News Media Association and more.
Further facts from the research showed that EIBTM is the place to meet and do business with the most Hosted Buyers from the UK, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Sweden than any other show in Europe.
“EIBTM has proved itself in being a great place to do business, and we estimate that 80 percent of the meetings we had have been new business leads, including new destinations that we never would have thought of. Overall, EIBTM has been a great pleasure to take part in,” said Mark Marino, global sales director, Trump Hotel Collection.
A core element of the meeting expo is the Hosted Buyer program, which provides dedicated programs and tailored education to meet the needs of Agency, Association, Business Travel and Corporate professionals, and it offers over 100 networking opportunities.
“EIBTM is as much about brand awareness as it is about providing exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase their products and services. We invest considerable resources into achieving the quality of Hosted Buyers that will bring business to our exhibitors and with more than 4,000 expected once again in Barcelona this year, we expect to see a large percentage of these as new buyers from emerging markets and new economic zones,” said Graeme Barnett, exhibition director, EIBTM, Reed Travel Exhibitions.
Once again, the Hosted Buyer program was driven by quality, with a focus on the world’s emerging and new economic zones. EIBTM already hosts buyers from economies ranking in the top 10 of the world’s highest current GDP and also those ranked to be up to 2050, including the U.S., Asia, Africa, South America, Brazil, Mexico and India.
