Non-stop service from Paris to Las Vegas begins in 2010

Officials from XL Airways joined representatives of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) in September at the Top Resa – International French Travel Market (IFTM) to announce the airline will begin non-stop service from Charles Degaulle International Airport in Paris to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas next summer.

“We are very pleased to welcome the first-ever non-stop flights to Las Vegas from France,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “This partnership with XL Airways provides new accessibility for French travelers.

The new flight will be operated by the charter airline twice weekly on Sundays and Thursdays. The plane, an A330-220, will have 354 seats including 333 in economy class and 21 “comfort” seats, allowing more space for passengers.

The flight will depart from Paris at 3:30 p.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 5:45 p.m. local time. The return flight departs Las Vegas at 8 p.m. and arrives in Paris the following day at 3:15 p.m.  The new flights are expected to begin in May 2010.
