Set along the Hillsborough River, the 600,000 square-foot Tampa Convention Center (TCC) is making waves by adding activities that complement its waterfront views. Further enhancing the meeting and event guest experience, additions include electric boats, water bikes and BiYaks, and an extended Riverwalk.
Located from the docks of TCC, Tampa Bay Water Bike Co. and eBoats Tampa both offer a unique option to explore the area and enjoy skyline views of Downtown Tampa. eBoats Tampa offers 21-foot electric boats that are available to rent by the hour or reserved for a chartered tour. At Tampa Bay Water Bike Co., attendees can pedal around the Bay on a water bike or BiYak (single or tandem pedal kayaks).
In addition, the Tampa Riverwalk opened an extension – the Kennedy Boulevard segment – to offer a 1.8-mile continuous walkable and bikeable waterfront trail. Fronting the Hillsborough River and Garrison Channel, the Tampa Riverwalk connects popular venues, restaurants, bars and local businesses. From Tampa Convention Center, visitors can access popular sites such as the Florida Aquarium, Tampa Museum of Art, Stratz Center, Glazer Children’s Museum, Amalie Arena and Curtis Hixon Park.
