Members of the International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO) used their annual meeting to tackle the subject of outsourcing versus insourcing at the IAPCO General Assembly and Annual Conference on Feb. 18, 2012.
The debate stimulated a graphic look at the reasons clients are presenting for taking the management of their meetings in-house. IAPCO will work through the counter arguments with their members, and produce a series of articles addressing good reasons for outsourcing to quality PCOs. The articles will also highlight the improved results that associations can attract from partnering with experts who have the appropriate infrastructure and resources.
“Riding the winds of change: new strategies for PCOs” is the theme for the next meeting in February 2013 at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin.
