Palm Beach to offer seasonal meeting incentives to planners

Palm BeachThe Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), in coordination with the Palm Beach County Convention Center, has announced an Exclusive Seasonal Meetings Offer for meeting planners organizing conferences, conventions or tradeshows in the South Florida region, available May through September 2012, then again for the same timeframe in 2013.

The special offer includes free meeting and exhibit space at the 350,000-square-foot convention center and free wireless Internet for the duration of the event. The Palm Beach County CVB is also offering the best available hotel rates in South Florida, in addition to discounted food and beverage packages. Free transportation to and from hotels and the convention center, and complimentary in-house marketing and public relations assistance will also be provided.

“Partnering with the Palm Beach County Convention Center allows us to provide a complete, destination-wide incentive program that’s attractive to meeting planners,” said Doug McLain, senior vice president of global sales for the Palm Beach CVB. “This offer shows the exceptional value our destination is able to extend, especially during the slower summer months, to the meetings and conventions community, making The Palm Beaches the best way to meet in Florida.”

Located in the heart of the destination’s Entertainment District, the two-level Convention Center is just three miles from the Palm Beach International Airport. The Convention Center offers a full-service staff, culinary talent and comprehensive technology available. Meeting space includes a 100,000-square-foot exhibit hall, a 25,000-square-foot ballroom, 23,000 square feet of flexible breakout space divisible into 23 rooms, and elevated glass atriums for ample pre-function space.
