The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) is unveiling America’s first Event Safety Guide at Event Live Expo 2013, which is scheduled Feb. 5-7 in Los Angeles.
The ESA is a group of almost 600 entertainment industry leaders gathered to address the immediate need for universal safety standards for the production of live events. The Event Safety Guide to best practices in the event production industry, also known as The Purple Guide, is a resource that the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) helped publish.
“This is a collaborative effort by some of the best minds in the industry lending their expertise in the specific areas of event production safety they are most qualified in,” said Jim Digby, spokesperson and co-founder, ESA. “This collaboration will provide event professionals with a reference guide that is more than a starting point to find solutions to common problems in attendee safety.”
Event Live Expo is a tradeshow for those in live-event production and management. The 2013 Expo takes place at the Event Deck at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
