The Meetings Show UK partners with DoubleDutch to deliver cutting-edge mobile app

Officials for the Meetings Show UK, the major new event for the inbound and outbound UK meetings and conference industry, have announced event technology provider DoubleDutch will create the official mobile application for the inaugural Meetings Show UK, scheduled July 9-11 at Olympia, London.


“Technology is an important part of any tradeshow. We wanted to appoint a partner who would help us connect with our visitors across multiple platforms,” said Steve Knight, event director, Meeting Show UK. “DoubleDutch has vast experience in producing apps which deliver advanced content, and they’ll help visitors to the Meetings Show UK use their smartphones and tablets to fully engage with all the events taking place and make the most out of their time.”

DoubleDutch, a provider of mobile applications for events, conferences and tradeshows, was chosen for its reputation of building the most innovative and engaging applications on the market. The Meetings Show UK and DoubleDutch are designing the app to provide visitors to the show with an engaging tool to guide them around the event, help them view their online diary and interact with other visitors. The app also is being designed to complement the show’s mobile website.

“Visitors should be free to get the best possible experience from their attendance at The Meetings Show UK,” said Knight. “The app will allow our visitors to keep on top of their individual diaries and manage their own personal blend of exhibitor meetings, networking and education sessions.”

The partnership between the Meetings Show UK and DoubleDutch comes in the wake of a growing mountain of behavioral data generated by modern event apps. The DoubleDutch technology platform harnesses this trend, allowing event organizers, exhibitors and attendees at The Meetings Show UK to benefit from a wealth of empirical data from actual activity at the event, along with the tools and expertise of DoubleDutch to analyse it. This will allow both the organizers and exhibitors to open the “black box” of event marketing data and gain a clear return on investment from The Meetings Show UK.

The inaugural Meetings Show UK will attract more than 5,000 visitors including 1,500 hosted buyers from across Europe.
