ECN is saddened to hear from three different sources that mg Design Associates in Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., closed their doors on May 9. According to Ben Olson, vice president/managing director, magnify (mg’s internal engagement marketing agency), ” I can confirm that mg has ceased normal operations. An mg team continues in place though, to fulfill existing client obligations.”
Founded by Michael Grivas in 1959, mg Design was a pioneer in the concept of incorporating marketing strategy into exhibit design. Their headquarters were just outside of Chicago and that location was a full-service facility with complete account, marketing, design, fabrication & production, I&D/labor/logistics and warehouse services and was home to one of their three regional exhibit rental inventory hubs; in addition, they had offices in Las Vegas, San Francisco and Orlando.
