Helping provide college educations for the families of disabled or slain military members is the goal of officials at CORT Trade Show & Event Furnishings.
Founded by Major Dan Rooney in 2007, the Folds of Honor Foundation provides educational scholarships to dependents and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our nation. As part of its partnership with Folds of Honor, CORT has launched a new texting program that allows people to make a donation for military educational scholarships from the convenience of their mobile phones.
Customers can text “CORT” to 27722 and donate $10 to the Folds of Honor. A one-time donation of $10 will be added to the customer’s mobile phone bill or deducted from a prepaid balance. The texting program is being promoted in all of CORT’s rental and retail showrooms across the United States.
Additionally, CORT is donating furniture, accessories and housewares to the first Folds of Honor Foundation’s Honor Cottage located in Sperry, Okla., which is a retreat house where military families can kick back and relax away from the challenges of everyday life. The Honor Cottage will be completed by July 4.
