Gateway, an exhibit design and build company based in St. Louis, Mo., is in the midst of a record-setting year. New products, clients and capabilities have triggered a growth spurt for the company. This company-wide expansion has opened up new internal opportunities, allowing the company to promote some of its most qualified employees. Managing Partner Jeff Huelskoetter says that he is “proud to see these individuals grow into larger roles, all while supporting a positive company culture for their peers.”
Upon hiring someone to take her own position, Anna Dohogne (pictured above) was promoted from administrative assistant to the director of human resources. In just under a year, says Huelskoetter, “she has proven to be one of the most dedicated and hard-working members of our staff.” In her new role, Dohogne will lead HR in making hiring decisions, building out our training program, and aiding leadership in company-wide projects. The leadership team is confident in her ability to handle the new role, and are looking forward to see her continue to grow professionally.
Gateway hired Mike Brown as a service technician in March of 2018. Within the first few months, leadership was consistently impressed by his technical knowledge and they decided to transition him into the IT specialist position. As the company increased its bandwidth, the need for more sophisticated systems presented itself. Brown facilitated the transitions flawlessly, truly exemplifying his dedication to the job when complications arose. He has continued to prove his work ethic and understanding of the company, and it is no surprise to those around the office that he has received another promotion. This time, to the role of IT Manager.
Much like Brown, Kyle McClaskey started out as a service technician. He had expressed his interest in art and epoxy painting as a hobby, but we didn’t realize how instrumental he would be to the company until he was scheduled to work in the Custom Fabrication department. His background as a professional painter and handyman just made sense, and he excelled in the role almost immediately. In the most recent company meeting, it was announced that he would become the new CustomFab manager. Today, McClaskey oversees complex and creative projects that continue to challenge the team’s capabilities.
