This Friday, October 7, sees the return of the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic at Stone Mountain Golf Course, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The Classic provides financial and emotional support to members of the exhibition industry community in need. The evening banquet, where annual recipients or their survivors express thanks and receive support, can be an emotional night. But during the day, the Randy brings golf, and this year, sponsors were encouraged to create daytime activities to bring even more fun and create even more memories of the Classic with photo ops, contests and giveaways.
Participating sponsors will have a 10 by 10 tent to showcase their activities. Some will be themed directly to the supportive goal of the Randy, like Czarnowski’s tribute to their own 2022 recipient, Larry Montagne. Others will be themed; EDPA Southeast will have an Oktoberfest tent, while Octonorm’s German-themed tent will have bratwurst, sauerkraut and an accordion player. 4 Productions will be ’80s themed, and Lancaster’s tent will be luau themed, complete with grass skirts and Hawaiian leis. And beMatrix will have a cigar rolling tent; get your own cigar rolled right in front of you!
EXHIBITORLive will be promoting next year’s show in Louisville, which will be the week before the Kentucky Derby with a Derby-themed tent. There will be a promo video about EXHIBITORLive 2023, hosts will be dressed in their Derby best and even offer a photo op with a hobby-horse! Exhibitus will showcase Special Olympics Georgia, which the company supports through donations and volunteering.
