Visit Orlando Names Tammy McCormick Director of Destination Experience

ORLANDO, Fla. – Visit Orlando, the Official Tourism Association for both the No. 1 meetings and travel destination in the U.S., announced the appointment of Tammy McCormick as Director of Destination Experience. With more than 22 years of experience in the events services industry, McCormick most recently served as the National Director of Creative for ACCESS Destination Services. In this role she provided strategic creative direction for national and brand-wide accounts, led the creative process for site inspections and presentations through the execution phase and collaborated with the creative team to deliver unique meeting experiences. In her role as Director of Destination Experience, McCormick will provide leadership to the Visit Orlando Destination Experience team to elevate engagement with clients to further enhance their customer experience while they plan and conduct meetings and conferences in Orlando.

“Partnering with clients to help ensure the success of their meetings and events is why I do what I do,” said McCormick. “Now I have the opportunity to work alongside one of the top planning teams in the country as we showcase the amazing meeting offerings found in Orlando.” Prior to joining Visit Orlando, McCormick spent a majority of her career, 14 years, at ACCESS Destination Services where she also held the titles of Partner/Director of Business Development and Director of Sales. She began her hospitality career at the front desk of the Doubletree Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana before taking ascending sales roles at Travel New Orleans and the Holiday Inn Superdome. She joined PRA Business Events as an account manager before taking the role of Senior Sales Manager in PRA’s Dallas, Texas office.

McCormick holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism from the University of New Orleans and is a Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) and Certified Incentive Travel Professional (CITP).

She will report to Visit Orlando’s vice president of sales and services, Stephanie Naegele.
