PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J. – The Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) is proud to announce the election of Eric L. Logan, CMP, as its new president at the 2025 annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky,
Logan, who serves as the destination and sports tourism event services manager at the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, brings extensive experience and a forward-thinking vision for the future of the association.
“As ESPA president, my vision is the continuation of a collaborative environment where our members from diverse backgrounds can access valuable resources on event services, network effectively and actively contribute to advancing our programs and promoting positive change within our industry, ultimately shaping a future that benefits all members,” Logan said.
Logan’s main objectives as president include working closely with the Board of Directors to increase revenue streams, promoting ESPA’s educational opportunities and introducing new initiatives to serve the association’s diverse membership. Additionally, he is committed to expanding ESPA’s outreach to hospitality students at colleges, universities and HBCUs nationwide.
“Sports services have become an increasingly prominent sector of our industry,” Logan continued. “I plan to ensure that current educational opportunities for event professionals in this field continue to thrive. Inclusion initiatives will also remain at the forefront of our programs as we work to make meaningful progress in this area.”
Logan is particularly proud of the success of ESPA’s Leaders Program and aims to build upon its momentum by enhancing the association’s year-round programming and enriching the experience at its annual conference.
“ESPA is growing, and I see this as an opportunity to further invest in promoting ESPA nationally, growing our membership and continuously elevating the annual conference experience for our attendees,” Logan said.
Throughout his career, Logan has earned the prestigious Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in 2012 and has been recognized with several accolades, including the Sustained Excellence in Performance Award from the City of Virginia Beach. He has also been named Employee of the Quarter and has received numerous departmental awards for his outstanding contributions to both internal and external clients.

He is an avid cook, loves experimenting with new recipes and enjoys home improvement and landscaping projects. In his free time, Logan can be found playing golf with friends or taking leisurely strolls along the beach.
