World Health Expo Miami (WHX Miami) 2026 drew more than 13,000 attendees to Miami Beach Convention Center.
The show also included 1,200 exhibitors and healthcare leaders from more than 120 countries.
The three-day event focused on healthcare innovation, international trade, business development, and partnerships across the Americas.
WHX Miami brings global healthcare audience
WHX Miami is part of Informa Markets’ global World Health Expo network. Organizers describe it as the largest healthcare exhibition in the Americas.
The event brought together manufacturers, distributors, healthcare providers, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Attendees came from North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
In addition, the opening ceremony included remarks from Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner and Freddie Peterson, general manager of Miami Beach Convention Center. Rolando Aedo, chief operating officer of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Gil Alejo, exhibition director of WHX Miami, also spoke.
Startup competition names winner
Wink Biotherapeutics won the 2026 Xcelerate Startup Competition.
Warren D. Marcus of Wink Biotherapeutics presented on the Future X Stage. His company focuses on biotechnology and healthcare innovation.
As the 2026 Xcelerate Champion, Wink Biotherapeutics will receive a trip to WHX Dubai 2027. The company will also receive complimentary exhibition space at WHX Miami 2027 and take part in the Xcelerate Mentorship Program.
The competition featured companies working in biotechnology, digital health, diagnostics, artificial intelligence, and medical technology.
Conference focuses on technology and patient care
The Future X Conference brought together healthcare executives, physicians, researchers, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
Sessions covered healthcare investment trends, robotics, manufacturing, innovation adoption, regulatory issues, U.S. market entry, and patient care.
Featured speakers included Dr. Charles Bruce, chief innovation officer at Mayo Clinic; Dr. Joseph Iannotti, chief research and academic officer at Cleveland Clinic; and Robert Cohen, vice president of innovation and technology at Stryker.
In addition, speakers included Dr. Matthew Kroh, chief medical officer of Core Surgical Innovation at Medtronic, and Dr. Danica Vance, director of sports medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
“The most impactful healthcare innovations are built through collaboration,” Bruce says.
Sports medicine adds Miami connection
With FIFA World Cup activity bringing additional attention to Miami, WHX Miami also highlighted sports medicine, injury prevention, rehabilitation, recovery, and human performance.
One session, “Beyond the Game: How SportsTech is Redefining Performance & Health,” focused on athlete care, performance, and wellness.
Meanwhile, attendees explored products across diagnostics, medical devices, digital health, rehabilitation, wellness, aesthetics, manufacturing, and patient care technology.
WHX Miami will return to Miami Beach Convention Center June 16-18, 2027.
