HKTDC Opens Three Summer Fairs at HKCEC

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) opened three public fairs July 15 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), giving visitors access to books, sports, leisure programming, and snacks with one ticket.

The 36th Hong Kong Book Fair, ninth Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo, and sixth World of Snacks run through July 21. Together, they feature more than 770 exhibitors.

Three fairs share HKCEC

The Hong Kong Book Fair returns with the theme “Reading the World: Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys.” The fair includes eight seminar series focused on literature, history, international reading, youth reading, personal development, and culture.

In addition, the World of Art & Culture exhibition, “World in Words, A Voyage of the Heart,” features more than 200 books and exhibits from around the world. The program also includes more than 35 seminars and workshops.

Sports and snacks expand the draw

The Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo includes athlete sessions, travel displays, and interactive sports activities. This year, the Travel and Tourism zone adds Türkiye and Korea for the first time. Thailand also returns with a larger presence.

World of Snacks brings together more than 1,300 snacks from nearly 30 countries and regions. The fair includes six themed areas, including Travel Delight, Chocolate and Sweet Factory, Oldie Snacks, Yummy & Healthy, Party Time, and Snack Bar.

HKTDC says the three fairs are designed to appeal to local residents and tourists during Hong Kong’s summer event season. Adult admission is HK$30. Admission for primary school students and children under 1.2 meters is HK$10. Children three and under and adults 65 and older are admitted free.
