Aluvision is thrilled to announce the growth of its technical design department with the hiring of Nova Douglas as Design Engineer. An integral part of Aluvision’s customer service, the department supports Aluvision customers with design ideas, 3D models and CAD drawings, as well as collaborating with the account services department to fulfill customer orders.
Nova is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia (UGA) with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a technical skillset including Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Excel VBA, and Power Query. With personal interests in mechanical design, process optimization, and design for manufacturing, she intentionally sought work experience and internships centered on manufacturing design to learn the real-world realities of production and deployment.
Before joining Aluvision, Nova gained hands-on manufacturing engineering experience through three internships at Price Industries, where she contributed to process optimization, training development, and operational improvements. She also led a Kubota-sponsored senior capstone project at UGA, managing a five-member team in the design and development of an automated manufacturing solution for a production environment.
