Legends Global Signs 10-Year Coventry Arena Partnership

Legends Global has signed a 10-year partnership with Coventry City Football Club and Coventry Building Society Arena, backed by more than £15 million in joint investment over the next three years.

The agreement covers venue operations, hospitality, food and beverage, technology, premium spaces, and commercial activity. It also includes plans to grow conferences, exhibitions, and other large-scale events at the arena.

Around £2.5 million has already been committed to early improvements, according to the companies.

Investment targets venue and event business

The phased investment will support upgrades across hospitality areas, concessions, technology, premium spaces, and venue infrastructure.

Legends Global will also work with the arena on a broader conference and events strategy. The companies say the goal is to attract more exhibitions, conferences, and live events to Coventry.

The partnership began Aug. 19.

Coventry City Football Club owner and executive chairman Doug King said the investment is intended to support activity beyond football.

“Our ambition extends far beyond what happens on the pitch,” King said. “We want to attract the world’s best talent both on and off the pitch and establish Coventry as a leading destination for sport, music, exhibitions, conferences and hospitality, 365 days a year.”

Hospitality and sales operations expand

Legends Global will oversee premium hospitality and guest sales strategy across the venue, including seasonal and matchday sales, inventory management, and premium guest delivery.

The arena will also introduce new food and beverage concepts, renovated concession areas, self-service technology, and updated premium hospitality spaces.

As part of that work, Legends Global will bring Simon Rogan’s Umbel Restaurant Group to the venue through a residency at The Engine Room. The group includes L’Enclume, Rogan & Co, Aulis, and Henrock.

Chris Bray, president, Europe, at Legends Global, said the partnership will combine venue investment with expanded live-event and hospitality programming.

“This is about bringing real transformation to both the club and the arena,” Bray said.

Legends Global’s United Kingdom venue portfolio also includes AO Arena, Olympia London, OVO Arena Wembley, First Direct Bank Arena, P&J Live, and several other conference and entertainment venues.

Legends Global provides venue management, hospitality, sales, partnerships, merchandise, and event services across a network of more than 450 venues worldwide. For more info, visit www.legendsglobal.com.
