Airshow China Marks 30 Years With 2026 Zhuhai Exhibition

Airshow China will mark its 30th anniversary when the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition returns to Zhuhai, China, Dec. 7–13.

Organizers launched the event’s 100-day countdown Aug. 28 and unveiled a commemorative anniversary logo. Founded in 1996, Airshow China has expanded from less than 8,000 square meters at its first edition to 450,000 square meters at its most recent event. Participation has also grown from 25 countries and regions to 47, according to Zhuhai Airshow Group Co., Ltd.

Three decades of growth

The anniversary program is expected to focus on changes across aviation and aerospace, including advanced air mobility, green aviation, supply-chain coordination, aircraft engine aftermarket services, and general aviation.

Industry dialogue and new technologies

Those topics were also part of a World Airshow Dialogue held during the countdown event. Representatives from International Aviation and Space Salon, known as MAKS, and aviation companies including Boeing participated through video remarks. Meanwhile, representatives from Aviation Industry Corporation of China and Embraer China discussed aircraft development, market opportunities, and emerging transportation technologies.

Xu Shixin, chief operating officer of Embraer China, pointed to opportunities in green aviation and electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft development. Dai Haibin, spokesperson for AVIC General Aircraft Company, also discussed Airshow China’s role as a launch platform for new aircraft and equipment, including the AG600 “Kunlong” amphibious aircraft.

The event’s growth over three decades gives organizers a larger platform for manufacturers, suppliers, government agencies, and aviation companies to meet around both commercial and emerging technologies. In addition, Airshow China continues to use the exhibition as a venue for product launches, industry discussions, and international participation.

As part of the anniversary activities, Zhuhai Airshow International Culture Communication Co., Ltd. also signed merchandise and intellectual property cooperation agreements with several organizations. Those projects include aerospace-themed products, digital commemorative ticket stubs using near-field communication technology, and merchandise tied to science-fiction properties.

Airshow China 2026 will be the 16th edition of the exhibition and will take place Dec. 7–13 in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China.
