Jennifer Nagle has been promoted to chief of staff at the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB), expanding her leadership responsibilities after returning to the organization in 2023.
Nagle previously served as vice president of external affairs and special projects. In her new role, she will serve as a strategic advisor and help translate organizational priorities into coordinated action across departments. She will continue to lead external affairs while assuming executive oversight of human resources and administrative strategy.
The promotion marks the latest chapter in Nagle’s career, which includes more than 20 years of executive experience in marketing, tourism, and hospitality.
A Career in Philadelphia Tourism
Nagle returned to PHLCVB in September 2023 after more than 13 years with the Philadelphia Visitor Center Corporation. She served as executive vice president there from 2019 to 2023 and also served as interim president and CEO for five months in 2023.
Earlier, Nagle spent nearly nine years as the Visitor Center Corporation’s vice president of business development. Her responsibilities included marketing, communications, visitor services and experience, information technology, partnerships, and revenue development.
Her history with PHLCVB predates those roles. From 2003 to 2010, Nagle worked as marketing manager for the bureau’s Philadelphia Sports Congress division. In that position, she worked on marketing and bid development for sporting events and helped direct marketing and event initiatives surrounding the annual Army-Navy Game.
Nagle also has experience in higher education. She currently teaches marketing as an adjunct faculty member at Saint Joseph’s University’s Erivan K. Haub School of Business. She has also held adjunct faculty positions at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business.
A South Philadelphia native, Nagle earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with majors in marketing and finance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She holds an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University.
