Access, an independent event marketing organization, was named one of six 2014 Central Massachusetts Family Business Award recipients by the Worcester Business Journal.
“Big or small, most family businesses have helped their founders make their American Dreams come true working with a unique dynamic, and they have passed along their knowhow and goodwill to their heirs, said Rick Saia, editor, Worcester Business Journal.
Michael Yag, his daughter Amy and his son Brendan were featured in an article where they shared insights about the day to day reality of working in a family business. Another son, Bryan, works out of the company’s Atlanta office.
“It’s important that they create value for the company,” Michael Yag said. “I know for a fact that the business can survive without me.”
A Family Business Awards event will be held June 26 to honor Access as well as the other five companies that were acknowledged.
