Access TCA, a firm specializing in exhibits, meetings, events and digital marketing for more than 27 years, recently added two exhibit designers to its staff.
Paula Commerford and Erick Gustafson will bring a combined 17 years of exhibit design experience to Access.
“It is a real pleasure to welcome Paula and Erick to the Access design team,” said Amy Yag, vice president, Access. “Paula’s portfolio has a fresh, edgy style and Erick has created innovative exhibits using emerging technology. I am confident our new designers will help us exceed client expectations as we look to the future.”
Gustafson has 11 years of experience in exhibit design, engineering and project management, most recently with RES Exhibit Services in Rochester, N.Y. He received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY College in theatrical production and design.
With six years as an exhibit and retail designer, Commerford was at Ten23 Creative in San Francisco before joining Access. She studied architecture and design at Czech Technical University, Kansas State College and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She will be based in her San Francisco studio.
Gustafson is eager to work with Access’ exhibit production department.
“The fabrication shops here at Access are opening new possibilities for me as a designer,” he said. “The staff truly welcomes design concepts they have never seen before. They roll-up their sleeves and find a way to transform ideas into reality.”
For Commerford, the company’s strength is its ability to stay fresh.
“Access has the stability of a long-standing, successful company and the spirit of a start-up,” she said. “I am excited to be a part of it.”
