Access TCA, a provider of brand experiences that specializes in exhibits, meetings, events and digital marketing, recently added two associate exhibit designers to its staff.
Gesine Hughes and Jake Martin will bring a combines 12 years of experience to the Access team.
“I am delighted to welcome Jake and Gesine to Access,” said Amy Yag, vice president, Access TCA. “They both show remarkable versatility, especially at such early stages in their careers. We look forward to seeing their unique creativity introduced as they work closely with our internal teams and clients.”
Hughes spent seven years in her native Germany in a variety of three-dimensional design disciplines ranging from product design to tradeshow exhibits. Her most recent position was exhibits project manager at Step One, a communications agency in Hamburg. She holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Design in Offenbach.
Martin’s five-year design career combines architecture, graphic design and digital media. Prior to joining Access, he was a designer and drafter at HS&T Group, a civil engineering firm in Worcester, Mass. He simultaneously provided freelance graphic design services and founded a retail fashion website, Project XXIV.
“I love the way we do things here at Access,” said Hughes. “As a designer, I take part in client meetings so that I can understand their goals right from the beginning. Then I watch my design become reality right here in our building. The process results in a better product for the client and makes me a better designer.”
For Martin, exhibit design combines his passions for architectural and graphic design with his technology skills.
“In my previous professional life, graphic and three-dimensional thinking existed in separate compartments and I wished I had a way to put them together,” said Martin. “And now I have. I couldn’t be more thrilled that Access is investing in me.”
