ad:tech New York connects thousands of digital marketing influencers and professionals

ad:tech, a diverse digital marketing event, announced that 8,017 professionals committed to the show this year, resulting in one of the busiest in recent history. Held on Nov. 6-7, the show floor buzzed during the two-day event as digital marketers and advertising/technology enthusiasts from around the world came together to connect, learn, network and surround themselves with others from the digital marketing industry.

Featuring keynotes from top brands and famous marketers, opening day included presentations from global companies such as Nestle, Socialmetrix, Latin3 and The Design Factory, who discussed current and future trends in the digital marketing and advertising industries.

Day two of the show continued with information-packed keynotes from Ford Motor Company, a panel with HootSuite, Wildfire by Google and Facebook. The event concluded with a closing keynote from Kevin Jonas who talked strategies for connecting with millennial-age consumers as they flex their growing purchase power.

Rewarding the most innovative and enterprising young companies in the digital marketing field, the renowned Startup Spotlight competition tradition continued as ad:tech New York partnered with two of the world’s best-known brands, MasterCard and Tourneau. MasterCard chose Jana, a mobile rewards, social marketing and global research company, who will have an opportunity to pitch Mastercard’s business in-house. On day two, Tourneau chose Curalate, a marketing and analytics suite for the visual Web, to pitch their company in-house. Each won $25,000 worth of digital advertising from Adweek as well as the ad:tech Innovation Award.

An exclusive speed round media briefing was held on day one to highlight the show’s top news announcements from selected exhibitors. Each of the seven finalist companies was allotted three minutes to present in front of an audience of ad:tech’s attending press. On the second day, the companies were given an encore opportunity to present on the Spotlight Stage in front of an audience of ad:tech’s attending press as well as expo floor attendees.

The companies selected for the press briefing include AdSpruce, Cinegif, Convertro, DudaMobile, Sensegon, TAPTAP Networks and WebSpectator.

Anne Murray, senior director of marketing, Southwest Airlines, and Jonathan Nelson, CEO, Omnicom Digital, each accepted the ad:tech Industry Achievement Award at the beginning of the two morning keynotes. This coveted award honors long-term dedication and consistent outstanding service to digital marketing.

“We saw a fantastic turnout at the ad:tech New York event,” said Nicole Buraglio, marketing director, ad:tech. “The attendance numbers and positive feedback from this year’s event reflects the strength of the advertising technology industry and the thought-leadership present at the event is further proof that ad:tech is the premier event for professionals in the space. We’re looking forward to what the 2014 San Francisco show will bring in April.”
