AIM Consulting, a strategic consulting branch of AIM Group International, is launching an innovative and unique product, the “Hotel MICE Academy.” The Academy will offer to operators in the hotel sector a made-to-order training program based on the long experience of AIM Group in the Congress and Event Industry. Al ready scheduled during the last three months are two significant events. The first, with the French Accor Group’s Novotel Brand, is intended to relaunch business offers in the light of the innovations made by the group in terms of meeting requests for proposal, , digital innovation and customer approach. The second with the NH Hotel Group, which will consolidate and integrate the various Sales and Operation functions, with particular reference to the health care and pharma world. In both cases, particular attention was paid to the performance of the following themes:
- Analysis of current trends in the MICE market and consequences for Hotel Industry in short and long term;
- Review of the Group’s internal management processes, in the light of the Hotel Chain International Vision, and identification of critical issues that contribute to action plans;
- Case studies focused on different types of customers (business or pharma) and identify improvement paths.
AIM used different strategies to involve participants, including sessions on Hunting Mistakes, Team Building and Guided Team Work. They also had a session called AIM tells AIM where the Group’s “real life” experiences of events held at the Hotel properties were used, highlighting the point of view of the customer or the PCO and presenting possible areas for improvement.
An in-depth follow-up on future trends was also provided (online sales, technological revolution, strategic diversification) and how to turn these trends into new opportunities instead of passively suffering the impact of change.
The training of newly hired staff in the Hotel Industry often focuses attention on operational and internal management issues and almost never raises key issues of business success, such as research and the profile of their customer, digital marketing, problem-solving and the renewed need for safety in the industry. The Academy will fill this gap in training.
