The Albany Capital Center, located just steps from the New York State Capitol, will host the Empire State Society of Association Executives’ 38th Annual Conference & Trade Show on Thursday, June 1. As the premier conference and trade show in upstate New York for association and meeting professionals, the annual one day event fosters professional development and networking, while also introducing best practices, new products and smart services.
With more than 200 attendees and 150 exhibitors, it’s a yearly highlight for association executives, meeting professionals and industry partners operating across New York. It aims to arm and empower tradeshow and meeting executives with the information they need to plan and execute successful events.
James Spellos, president of Meeting U., will give the keynote address on the potentially powerful impact of technology, with a particular focus on managing the flow of information within your association or business.
“We’re thrilled to hold our event in this gorgeous, brand new facility,” said Vanessa LaClair, CMP and executive director of ESSAE. “The ACC team worked with us every step of the way—from booking to planning—to make sure this experience would be a great one.”
The 2017 ESSAE Annual Conference was one of the first tradeshows booked at the ACC, with an agreement signed before construction began on the modern convention and meeting facility.
“It’s an honor to play host to top executives in the trade show and meeting industry, and be able to showcase the thoughtful, modern design of this state-of-the-art facility,” said Doug McClaine, general manager of the ACC. “We have a lot to offer here, from flexible, convertible meeting space, dozens of green features with digital and LED features to assist with event branding.”
The ACC opened for business on March 1, hosting 15 events that first month. A total of 100 events are on the calendar for 2017, with another 35 events planned through 2021.
