Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), a global sales organization with a portfolio of more than 140 Four- and Five-diamond hotels and resorts, has hired a new regional vice president and a director of sales.
Laura Arth has returned to ALHI as the regional vice president for the Mid-Atlantic region. In her new position, she is responsible for leading ALHI’s global sales team in the Mid-Atlantic region and serving meeting professionals, association executives, convention specialists and business executives with ALHI’s Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and support.
In addition, David Folkeson has joined ALHI as director of sales, based in ALHI’s Washington, D.C., GSO office. Both will work with the region’s association and corporate executives and meeting professionals as a local extension for ALHI’s distinctive portfolio of quality hotels and resorts worldwide, which feature more than 100,000 rooms and suites, and over 10 million square feet of meeting space, according to David Gabri, president and CEO, ALHI.
An 11-year veteran of ALHI as vice president of sales and later as vice president of sales and marketing, Arth most recently developed her private company that launched a meeting and convention industry website.
Folkeson joins ALHI from La Quinta Resort and Club in Southern California, where he served for six years, most recently as director of Mid-Atlantic and Southeast sales. His focus has been on serving key national association accounts in the greater Washington, D.C. marketplace.
“We are so pleased to have Laura back with us at ALHI, and David as a new member of our global sales team in Washington, D.C.,” said Gabri. “Laura brings tremendous experience, and sales and managerial skills, and is a dedicated professional who takes pride in being an incredible asset to meeting and convention professionals and the members ALHI serves. It is good to have David on board, who has proven to be a very effective and a solutions oriented sales professional serving the Washington, D.C. marketplace, and who brings so much to the team and to the accounts he will serve.”
