Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), which serves the meetings and incentive marketplace with quality hotels and resorts, named The Peabody Orlando as the recipient of its “Chairman’s Award” as the “ALHI Hotel of the Year” for 2011. The award is given annually to the ALHI member hotel or resort that best displays extraordinary leadership with their property, exemplifies “Commitment to Performance” in the marketplace, and epitomizes the “partner relationship” with ALHI. The award was presented at ALHI’s annual Industry Advisory Council conference, which was conducted at the Atlantis on Paradise Island in The Bahamas.
David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI, and Taylor Fernley, president and CEO of Fernley & Fernley Inc. and 2011 ALHI Industry Advisory Council Chairman, presented the award to Sheri Wallen, director of sales for The Peabody Orlando, and Barbara Bowden, general manager of The Peabody Orlando.
