Aluvision Inc. Welcomes Technical Designers Sean Long and David Li to the US Team
submitted by Jillian Fafard, Director of Marketing, Aluvision
Heading into its 21st year and with marked growth in 2023, Aluvision has its sights set on the future and new innovations to come. To support the ever-evolving design needs of its growing US customer base, Aluvision has recently hired two new technical designers: Sean Long and David Li.
Sean joins Aluvision with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kennesaw State, and most recently designed cell phone towers for use across the country. His skills include proficiency in a range of engineering software, testing structures under various conditions and stresses for stability, and adhesion to stringent rules and regulations across state and federal mandates. Sean enjoys engineering design for the ability to bring a rendered structure to fruition and the satisfaction of delivering an end-product to customers that exceeds their expectations and makes them happy. His approach to design work is that there’s always room for innovation and improvement in engineering solutions.
A 2023 Georgia Tech graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, David comes to Aluvision having most recently machined and designed parts of combat robotics for the University’s RoboJackets Battlebots competition. David’s passion for modeling 3D structures and the overall engineering design process comes from a love of creative problem solving and testing limits. To him, there’s always more than one solution to a problem and it comes down to designing multiple iterations to find the solution that best addresses the underlying requirements, balancing a need for structural soundness while pushing some limits because of the temporary nature of event structures.
“It’s exciting to see a young generation of engineers enter the field of event design,” says Vice President of Engineering Gilles Hardy. “David and Sean both have the right mindset, attitude, and skillset required for supporting our customers and creating new solutions that will help them achieve their goals. We’re happy to welcome them both into the Aluvision family of technical designers and look forward to what they will bring to the table.”
