Marking its fifth year of providing scholarships to up-and-coming exhibit design students, MG announces that applications are now available at mgdesign.com/designexcellence. MG awards two scholarships each year – one undergraduate and one graduate – to students who have demonstrated their excellence through their creative portfolio, grades and industry involvement. In addition to the financial educational assistance, MG also brings the two scholarship recipients to EXHIBITORLIVE where they are recognized for their achievements.
“The level of talent and commitment of these students is stellar, which is reassuring for the future of our industry,” said Mike Grivas, MG CEO. “These are students who chose our industry as their educational path and are learning things in college that many of us learned on the job. One of the MG team’s favorite parts of EXHIBITORLIVE is celebrating the scholarship winners at a special Tuesday breakfast. The enthusiasm these students add is real and challenges all of us to consider what’s next.”
Created in honor of MG Founder Michael Grivas Sr., a talented designer, industrious entrepreneur and industry visionary, the Michael Grivas Sr. Exhibit Design Excellence Scholarship program is an annual scholarship awarded to an exemplary student seeking a degree in an exhibit design-related field. To be considered, applicants must:
- Be at least a junior currently attending an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution seeking a Bachelor’s degree in an exhibit design-related field or a graduate student in a Master’s degree program in an exhibit-design related field
- Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the time of application
- Demonstrate creativity, leadership and excellence
