ARAMARK Parks and Destinations, a concessioner of national and state parks, contracted with Nevada State Parks to operate recreational services at Spooner Summit in Lake Tahoe. As of June 1, ARAMARK began managing Spooner Summit bike rentals, cabin rentals, a food and beverage station and a small amenities outlet.
“We are excited about expanding our operations to include the Nevada State Park at Spooner Summit and further building our relationship with the Lake Tahoe community,” said David Sloma, vice president of operations, ARAMARK. “We look forward to providing our Spooner Summit guests with memorable and enjoyable recreational experiences.”
Under the Spooner Summit agreement, ARAMARK will offer Kona mountain bikes for rent to guests with different levels of expertise, two comfortable hike-in backcountry cabins, a grab-and-go food station for snacks and refreshments as well as a small apparel and retail outlet.
Spooner Summit bike rentals is located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe at Spooner Lake. On the southeast side of Lake Tahoe, ARAMARK operates Lake Tahoe Cruises – M.S. Dixie II and Tahoe Queen – and Zephyr Cove Resort, offering activities and amenities to guests.
