ASTOUND Group, a global design and fabrication house headquartered in Toronto, introduced four hires to its expanding global team, according to company officials.
“I’m honored to have Tim, Tom, Sean and Paul on board. With their combined influential industry backgrounds, we will undoubtedly improve the efficiency of our business, creative and operations departments, which will allow us to ramp up our global capabilities from Las Vegas to Europe,” said Dale Morgan, founder and president, ASTOUND Group.
Joining the team as U.S. general manager is Tom Fitzgerald, who is based at ASTOUND’s 60,000 square-feet production facility and office in Las Vegas. Bringing more than 17 years of strong industry experience and expert management techniques, Fitzgerald worked at GES as senior director of production services. He also held multiple senior positions within Exhibitgroup/Giltspur.
The 2010 Excellence Award for Innovation Fitzgerald received highlighted his ability to develop unique solutions, and he has also won the 2008 ACE Award for Outstanding Individual from GES. He graduated from the University of Phoenix and holds a BSBM, Business Management degree.
Leading the vision of developing interactive technology services for the company while directing ASTOUND’s brand identity and strategy, marketing communications and infrastructure is Sean Karoonian, the brand director.
Experienced in on-board international digital marketing and brand design, Karoonian founded 3Flow Interactive, a Belgium-based brand agency, in 2011. He also worked as digital marketing manager for SoftKinetic, a Silicon Valley startup of 3D gesture control development leaders who are now partnered with Intel and Texas Instruments. He promoted the company and brand through various marketing platforms and channels.
Since 2004, he studied BSc Politics at Brunel University in London before graduating with 1st Class Honors in B.A. Journalism, Media Production & Technology at UCLan.
Based in Norway, Tim Langridge is the director of business development, responsible for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). For many years, Langridge worked with ASTOUND from the client side as marketing manager of Appear TV, an international manufacturer of broadcast equipment for TV signals.
“ASTOUND Group was always fun to work with, so much that I thought I’d join the team full time!” said Langridge.
He brings two years of International Motorcycle show experience with Wayne Garner Enterprises followed by five years of Broadcast Industry shows. Langridge received a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies at Southern Cross University in Australia, followed by a Diploma in Advertising from Macleay College.
As the new senior designer, Paul Eizerman is declared an asset by the company because of his ability to understand clients’ needs and create memorable brand experiences. The environments Eizerman creates are current in design aesthetic and technological applications due to knowledge he gained from his Industrial Design degree and experience with traditional fine art.
Bringing more than six years of exhibit design experience that involved developing numerous projects from conceptualization to final production, Eizerman previously worked as a designer for Kubik. He is skilled in conceptual sketching, 3D visualization, spatial programming, creative story-telling and experiential marketing. Eizerman has designed for Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Nissan, Michelin, Schneider Electric, Nike, Teva pharmaceuticals and NVIDIA.
