August Jackson, a leading brand communications agency, announced today that it has entered an agreement to acquire P.W. Feats, Inc., a nationally recognized event strategy, design, and production firm specializing in higher education engagement.
“There are tremendous synergies between AJ and Feats,” said Frank Andrews, chairman of August Jackson and CEO of parent company Arc Holdings. “We both drive engagement between our clients and their most important internal and external audiences through strategic communications planning, media production, design and live events. We couldn’t be more excited.”
The Feats Higher Education Practice at August Jackson will operate as a stand-alone entity within the agency, drawing on the resources of the combined company to service its roster of many of the nation’s most respected colleges and universities.
“We believe the importance of sophisticated fundraising campaigns in higher education will only grow in the years to come,” said Robyn Kress, CEO of Feats. “We are thrilled to be joining forces with August Jackson and see great possibilities in what we can do together as one team.”
Founded in 1985 by Paul Wolman, Feats has grown in the past decade by focusing on the higher education sector. The company currently works with many of the top private and public universities in the United States, partnering with them to launch comprehensive fundraising campaigns, recognize leadership transitions, and mark milestone anniversaries. These occasions present opportunities to create unique experiences and special events, but also require tailored communications strategies and creative messaging platforms. Feats has evolved its service offering to meet these needs, and its 36 employees bring diverse skills in design, communications, production, fabrication, and more to bear on client engagements.
“August Jackson was a logical choice as we thought about the next stage for Feats — not only do we share expertise in creating live experiences designed to inspire and motivate an audience to act, but there is also tremendous similarity in our cultures,” said Wolman, Chairman & Chief Impact Officer at Feats. “Feats will continue to remain tied to the Baltimore community, while expanding its access to new resources nationwide through August Jackson. This is a very exciting time for all of us.”
