Baltimore Convention Center implements ESCA WIS

Announced July 13, Baltimore Convention Center (BCC) will be the 14th convention center to implement the Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) Worker Identification System (WIS). All contractors, suppliers and vendors who need access to work in the facility must be identified with the ESCA WIS Badge.

Each company approved to work in BCC will need to name a person as their WIS Administrator who will be responsible for registering all of their employees and ordering ID badges.

This new identification badge system will be implemented at BCC starting August 10, and all exhibition workers will be asked to have the WIS Badge. Starting Sept. 28, all exhibition workers will be required to display the badge in order to work onsite at the BCC.

ESCA representatives will be at the BCC on July 30-31 to assist any contractor or union personnel with training and/or registering for photo ID badges. Company administrator(s) must be registered on the system to register employees onsite. Employees are to arrive with some form of government issued identification or a union ID card of some fashion.
