Boutique Design New York (BDNY) will return to the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City November 9–10, 2025, bringing together designers, hoteliers, and developers for its annual hospitality design trade fair and conference.
Keisha Byrd, vice president and brand director of Emerald’s Hospitality Design Group, said this year’s event continues BDNY’s tradition as a meeting place for creativity and collaboration. “BDNY continues to be where creativity and community collide,” Byrd says. “This year is about momentum, about celebrating how designers, brands, and innovators are pushing hospitality forward with work that is imaginative, purposeful, and human.”
Now in its 15th year, BDNY will feature four Designed Spaces created through collaborations between design firms, brand partners, and manufacturers from across the industry. Each space will highlight new approaches to materials, lighting, and layout, giving attendees a close look at how teamwork shapes hospitality environments.
The Designed Spaces will include The Alchemist by Aria Group, a restaurant concept that explores how materials and lighting influence dining; Châlet Après by Mazzarini & Co. for Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, a contemporary take on alpine-inspired hospitality; The Splash Pad by Dream Hotels and Nivek Remas, a social lounge concept reflecting the brand’s poolside culture; and Midnight Garden by DesignAgency, a walkthrough installation examining light, movement, and rhythm.
The BDNY Conference will feature nearly 40 accredited sessions covering wellness, sustainability, technology, and design trends. Highlights include AI as Co-Creator: Designing with Machines, Not for Them; Designing for Whole-Person Wellness; and The New Language of Luxury.
The Power Players: Women Leaders in Hospitality Breakfast, presented with NEWH, returns November 10 in the River Pavilion. The session will bring together leaders from design, ownership, and operations to discuss trends in investment, development, and design leadership. Other Monday sessions will focus on sustainable sourcing, adaptive venues, and the growing branded residential market.
Two major industry celebrations will coincide with the show. The Platinum Circle Awards Gala will be held November 7 at Cipriani 25 Broadway, honoring AvroKO, Flick Mars, Aliya Kahn, and Marcus Samuelsson for career achievements in design and hospitality. The 45th annual Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design will follow on November 10 at Cipriani 42nd Street, recognizing excellence across 24 categories, including Designer of the Year and Up-and-Coming Hotelier of the Year.
Advance registration for BDNY 2025 is open, with show hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
