BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF sees positive post-show results

A total of 1,250 exhibitors and brands from 40 countries showcased their products to 50,000 visitors at BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF 2014, an international wellness, spa and cosmetics trade fair.

“The sector appreciates BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF as the key trend forum and platform for innovations, trend information and further training,” said Joachim Schäfer, managing director, Messe Düsseldorf, and Helmut Winkler, director, BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF.  “The stable exhibitor and visitor numbers show that BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF is the leading event for cosmetic service providers. This is not least due to the extensive technical and continuous education program offered with such a diversity and depth only in Düsseldorf.”

About 10,000 trade visitors took part in the practice-oriented continuous education program, which covered the focal topics of cosmetics, nail, foot, wellness and spa in some 130 events. In several championships organized as part of BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF – including the German and International Make-up Championships as well as the National and International Nail Championships (in the Gel and Liquid Powder categories) – the best-in-class demonstrated their skills. Equally well attended were the Special Show, the Trend Forum and the award ceremonies.

“VCP in particular welcomes the further training program at the trade fair. The fact is that high-caliber expert speakers also attract high-caliber visitors. Overall, we are happy with the increased quality of trade visitors and the cooperation between the trade fair and beauticians,” said Dr. Christian Rimpler, chairman, Cosmetic Professional e.V. Association (VCP).  “BEAUTY is the perfect venue for product launches simply because this is where experts in the sector with their great know-how all get together. Düsseldorf is always considered a barometer for the entire year, and since BEAUTY went well, we look to the future with optimism.”
