beMatrix won this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, a world-renowned design prize celebrating design excellence around the world, with their revolutionary LEDskin in the public/retail category of the Product Discipline. Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hanover-based International Forum Design GmbH (iF), organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD.
LEDskin is a revolutionary product for the exhibit building market, creating new opportunities and extra value for both modular systems and the LED market. The innovation lies in that this new video tile is integrated seamlessly into the beMatrix DNA. Its beMatrix measurements, 496 x 496 x 62 mm, enables a perfect connection to the b62 frames, resulting in one sleek invisible building solution without complex or massive construction behind it. The LED tiles are automatically aligned to each other and to the frame system by easily integrated lock systems. One module can be released and replaced quickly from the front by magnets. The slim width of 62 mm still gives you the opportunity to hide all of the cables. The backside of the tiles can be covered by SEG fabric or hard panel infills, providing a neat and custom branded look. By utilizing the beMatrix cover clips you can create a clean, inclusive finish. The line-up of the LEDskin tiles is truly limitless when constructing a creative rhythm such as full-motion entertainment, animation, mosaics, and more. The LEDskin is powered by the qualitative Novastar high end control system. LEDskin has all the advantages of the beMatrix System: clean, easy, tooless, fast building and lightweight.
LEDskin won over the 63-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, with its LED tile system that fits perfectly into the beMatrix aluminum modular building system. The competition was intense: more than 6,400 entries were submitted from 54 countries in hopes of receiving the seal of quality and design brilliance.

From February 6-9, beMatrix was present at the international meeting point for the AV sector: Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), in Amsterdam. This was the perfect moment to launch some exciting novelties for the LEDskin product line. beMatrix has expanded their LEDskin range and is now available in three pixel pitches: 2.5, 3.1 and 3.8. They have also increased the creative possibilities with the LED tiles by using two options, inner and outer LED corners can now be created.
