Best of beMatrix North America Awards 2025

The Best of beMatrix North America Awards recognized 13 projects during a livestream ceremony held December 17. Now in its eleventh year, the program honored work across tradeshow, retail, outdoor, experiential, and international categories.

This year’s awards reflected the broad range of environments in which the beMatrix system is used. As a result, the winning projects included small and large tradeshow booths, outdoor activations, retail installations, unsold concepts, and large-scale builds beyond the traditional show floor.

AWARDS OVERVIEW

Overall, the 2025 program featured 13 categories. These categories recognized both completed projects and conceptual work. In addition, several awards focused on sustainability and nontraditional applications, highlighting how the beMatrix system continues to support varied design and build requirements.

AWARD WINNERS

Together, the following award recipients demonstrate how designers and fabricators applied the beMatrix system across different scales, formats, and settings. Each project was evaluated within its category based on execution, clarity of structure, and effective use of the system.

ALL IN AWARD
Exhibit Concepts Inc.
Project: Ford House

The Ford House installation uses a series of freestanding, double-sided walls arranged to guide visitors through a linear exhibit path. The structure features full-height graphic panels with archival photographs, large-format numerals, and text-based storytelling. The layout creates distinct zones while maintaining clear sightlines between sections. Materials and finishes remain consistent throughout, reinforcing continuity across the space.

BEST INTERNATIONAL DESIGN
SISTEXPO

The exhibit centers on a circular, walk-through structure built around a continuous ring frame. The form creates a defined entry and exit while framing a small interior meeting area with seating and greenery. Vertical graphic panels line the exterior, while integrated lighting highlights the curved profile. The open front and rear maintain visibility into the space from the aisle.

DESIGNER’S CHOICE AWARD
STAR Exhibits and Environments
Project: 3M

The exhibit is organized around a tall, rectangular entry frame that creates a defined threshold into the space. Large LEDskin walls line both sides, displaying a grid of image-based content that extends upward to full height. A matching LED backdrop anchors the rear of the booth. The open central aisle maintains clear circulation and direct sightlines through the structure.

BEST EVENT AND EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN
Elevation3D
Project: Blackmagic Design

The environment uses a studio-style layout with clear zones for demos and seating. Overhead truss supports rectangular light fixtures above the central area. The floor plan combines open space with café tables, plants, and prop elements, including motorcycles and shop tools. Textured walls and practical lights separate each area while keeping sightlines open across the space.

BEST USE OF LEDSKIN
4 Productions
Project: Lockheed Martin

The exhibit uses a cluster of tall, vertical LEDskin panels arranged in a curved formation. The screens display full-height image content that wraps across multiple faces of the structure. A solid base supports the LED elements and anchors the footprint. Open aisle access on two sides keeps the display visible from multiple angles on the show floor.

MOST INNOVATIVE USE OF BEMATRIX PRODUCTS
SCSWorx
Project: Cerrowire

The booth features a freestanding, house-shaped structure positioned behind a curved service counter. A pitched roof and vertical tower element define the silhouette. Integrated screens sit within the central structure, while string lighting spans overhead. Branded wall panels and product displays line the perimeter. Open sides allow access from multiple directions on the show floor.

MOST XTREME DESIGN
Altitude Exhibits
Project: Spectrum

The exhibit uses a double-deck structure with a straight stairway leading to an upper-level platform. Large graphic panels wrap the exterior, while LED accents frame the corners and stair edges. A screen mounted at the upper level provides visible content from the aisle. The structure maintains open ground-level access while clearly separating upper and lower zones.

BEST OUTDOOR DESIGN
Stetson Convention Services
Project: 2025 Connect Spring Marketplace

The 2025 Connect Spring Marketplace creates an open-air event space with seating areas distributed across a lawn setting. Modular tables and lounge furniture form clear gathering zones. String lighting runs overhead to define the footprint. The design integrates palm trees and existing landscaping, while wide walkways support easy movement and casual interaction throughout the space.

BEST TRADESHOW DESIGN GREATER THAN 600 SQUARE FEET
Northern Productions Inc.
Project: Babcock

The Babcock exhibit uses a large island layout with clean lines and bold branding on all sides. A suspended LED cube anchors the structure and delivers motion content above the floor. Enclosed meeting rooms sit beneath the screens, while open counters support visitor flow. The design balances scale, visibility, and function within a clearly defined footprint.

BEST RETAIL DESIGN
Happy Projects and Mirror Show Management
Project: Aveeno

The Aveeno retail installation uses a clean, open layout with clear branding on all sides. Wood accents and neutral finishes frame product displays and demo counters. An overhead structure defines the footprint while maintaining open sightlines. Digital screens support product education, and shelving keeps items visible and organized. The design supports steady traffic flow and direct customer interaction.

COMPANY SUSTAINABILITY AWARD
Triple20
Project: Expresco

The Expresco exhibit uses a straight-line layout with a service counter and high-top tables positioned along the front edge. Large food photography panels line the back wall and define the space. Wood-look flooring separates the booth from the aisle, while overhead lighting highlights product visuals. The design supports food service, casual seating, and clear brand presentation within a compact footprint.

BEST TRADE SHOW DESIGN LESS THAN 600 SQUARE FEET
Acer Exhibits and Events LLC

The Acer Exhibits & Events booth uses an angled layout to define the space within a small footprint. Graphic walls create visual separation while keeping the booth open to the aisle. Two counters support conversation and demonstrations, and integrated lighting highlights brand elements. The design balances structure and openness without unnecessary complexity.

BEST UNSOLD CONCEPT
AGS Expo Services
Project: Raymond James Financial Services

This unsold concept uses rounded, freestanding display towers arranged in a compact cluster. Each unit integrates a monitor and enclosed storage, creating clear presentation zones without permanent walls. Soft edge lighting outlines the structures and improves visibility from multiple angles. The modular layout supports quick setup and flexible placement while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

JUDGING PROCESS

Judges cited both technical execution and problem solving as key factors in their evaluations. In particular, they noted how submissions applied the beMatrix system across multiple formats and environments.

“This year’s competition was fierce,” says Travis Fulton, technical trainer. “From a technical standpoint, we saw projects that showcased the various ways our products can be used across different form factors and locations. It was not easy picking the winners.”

DESIGN AND TECHNICAL FEEDBACK

In addition, judges pointed to the depth of system knowledge demonstrated across the entries.

“Our customers continue to surprise us with their ingenuity and unique solutions,” says Kyle Lucken, technical product manager. “Each project showed a strong understanding of the system and how it can support creative outcomes.”

REGIONAL PERSPECTIVE

The geographic range of submissions also played a role in the judging process.

“Seeing designs from across the continent made it difficult to choose winners,” says David Freeman, director of sales and marketing. “Each category included work that demonstrated talent at multiple levels.”

PROGRAM SCOPE

Overall, the Best of beMatrix North America Awards recognize work that demonstrates effective use of the modular frame system. The program also acknowledges sustainability efforts and large-scale projects created outside traditional tradeshow settings.
