Summer usually means slowing down, but at Aluvision things have been ramping up ahead of busy season. Aluvision is thrilled to announce the continued growth of its technical design department with the hiring of Casper Corbin as the newest Design Engineer.
With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in industrial design from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Casper joins Aluvision with a passion for manufacturing product design and improvement. He recently finished three rotations in an equipment engineering co-op with the Coca-Cola Company where he performed R&D testing and analysis of dispensing and vending equipment. Prior to that, Casper completed an engineering internship with AutomationDirect, where he worked to design and model a 3D-printable modular PLC stand, as well as various demos of their products.
While completing his degree, Casper was also a prototyping instructor at Georgia Tech’s Flowers Invention Studio Makerspace, where he operated, troubleshot, and trained students on wood and metal shop tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and a waterjet.
