The registration manager for Convention Data Services (CDS) has been honored and recognized as a recipient of the 2015 Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 Awards.
Kelly (Cosgrove) Aiken was selected from hundreds of nominations submitted for this accolade. The awards program spotlights distinguished businesspeople in Massachusetts who are under the age of 40, excel in their industry, demonstrate dynamic leadership skills and volunteer in the community.
“We are proud that Kelly Aiken has been selected as a recipient of the Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 Awards. She is a great example of a dedicated young professional who has exhibited exceptional leadership skills. We appreciate her contributions to our company, our clients and to the community,” said John Kimball, president and CEO, Convention Data Services.
Aiken, a Cape Cod native, holds a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Advertising from Endicott College. She began her career with Convention Data Services in 2008 and was promoted to her current position in 2010.
Recently, Aiken was selected to participate in CDS’ mentoring program to help other young professionals pursue opportunities within the company. She is currently mentoring and training a CDS registration coordinator who is gaining hands-on experience and skills to apply toward advancement within the company.
Aiken is committed to giving back to her community in numerous ways. She mentors an Endicott College student from Mashpee to provide career guidance and advice on resumes, cover letters and interview strategies. She also volunteers her time at the Magical Moon Foundation located in Marshfield, Mass. The Magical Moon Foundation provides children who have cancer and other life-threatening illnesses an opportunity to escape their day-to-day life of fighting illness to explore an imaginary world.
