Convention Data Services (CDS) debuted the launch of a new onsite registration solution, Reg Stands, at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago this month. Reg Stands, which are custom designed and manufactured onsite registration units, provide show organizers with a highly efficient and modern self-check-in solution. All functionality, including a scanner and credit card swipe, are built into a self-contained touch screen unit.
“As a tech show, we must have the latest and greatest in technology–and we pick partners who can meet this demand,” says Michelle Edmonson, senior director of exhibitions operations and marketing at IMTS. “We continuously look for ways to be inventive, and the CDS Reg Stands are a slick and tech-driven solution that enhances the already superior onsite service we are accustomed to receiving from CDS. There are five different registration areas at IMTS, and we have only received great compliments from our visitors on how the Reg Stands look and work.”
“Our Reg Stands are a game changer and begin the next generation of onsite self-registration,” says John Kimball, CDS president and CEO. “I am thrilled to have debuted Reg Stands at such a forward-thinking mega event like IMTS. Since registration is the first stop for tradeshow attendees and exhibitors, it was imperative we design a unit that was not only attractive and intuitive but also operationally adept to quickly and efficiently move people through the registration process. This investment further demonstrates our commitment to innovation with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.”
In other news this month, CDS was selected by the RV Industry Association (RVIA) to provide registration, lead management and integrations for RVX: The RV Experience for three years through 2021. RVIA’s mission is working together to promote the health and growth of the RV industry. RVX: The RV Experience is a new event being held in March 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“CDS has been a great partner to the RV Industry Association, providing cutting-edge technology and excellent customer service to our event attendees over the years,” says Jeremy Greene, marketing director, tradeshows & events at the RV Industry Association. “Working together on the launch of RVX: The RV Experience will help us deliver on showcasing the newest products and innovations coming to the RV market.”
“CDS is thrilled to be working with RVIA on launching the new show,” says David Lawton, chief sales officer at CDS. “RVIA has reinvented the RVX: The RV Experience, and it is exciting to be partnering together again to deliver an outstanding event experience.”
